oh, London! Pt. 1

finally, some pictures from our trip to London back at the beginning of April.
it was my first time there since I moved away in july of 2009,
and it was truly wonderful to be back.

we saw a lot of our London friends and colleagues,
and many friends from university that came to our friend's wedding.

it is amazing how a few years of not seeing each other is forgotten in an instant,
it felt like we had never been away.
especially after having moved to a new city at the beginning of the year
it was really nice to see some old friends, I've missed that a lot lately.

London felt so familiar, we had great weather,
and I think a part of my heart will always remain there.

1 the scolt head on englefield rd. used to be our local. this is where we had our wedding party for our friends in march 2009.
2 lamps in the vintage furniture shop on essex rd
3 my favorite tree around the corner from our old apartment
4 the fishmonger on essex rd.
5-7 brunch at mood for food, another favorite on essex rd.
8 steps on northchurch rd.

    Schöne Bilder. Beruhigen mich irgendwie.
    Und ich will auch mal nach London, das kenne ich so gar nicht. Meine Schwester war gerade ein Jahr in Brighton, aber ich hab es nicht geschafft sie dort mal zu besuchen...

    wie schön all die blüten zu sehen jetzt wo sie hier schon wieder verblüht sind.
    london finde ich auch toll. besonders bei gutem wetter. und wie schön, dass ihr eure freunde und kollegen habt wiedersehen können. das ist das tolle an wahren freundschaften. egal wieviel zeit und raum vergeht sie bleiben erhalten.
    und ich glaube ich habe hunger. jedenfalls grummelt mein bauch bei dem anblick eures leckeren brunchs ;)

    oh, i have these times of feeling homesick for london... must go again soon!
