portland

I did not take many pictures in Portland, but we had the best time.
it was summer, and we did everyhting you're supposed to do:

- stay at Ace hotel (which was really really nice)
- eat LOTS of food cart food (it's food cart heaven!)
- have coffee at stumptown
- spend hours at Powell's, which is truly amazing
- ride bikes all over town
- watch thousands of swifts disappear into the chimney of chapman elementary school
- grow a mustache (not all of us)

timberline lodge

timberline lodge at mt hood is one of the coolest buildings I've ever seen.
taking pictures was difficult because the interior was quite dark, but you can read more here.
