the garden

T's parents live in a tiny village in the northeast corner of bavaria.
they have a beautiful garden and grow lots of fruit and veg, and keep bees.

the first picture shows my favorite view, from the garden fence
over the neighbors' stacked wood, and over the fields.

T's dad has been in hospital for almost two months, so we've been visiting regularly.
The evening light in their garden is so beautiful, and I really hope that he will be able
to sit on the bench outside their house and watch everything grow
before this summer is over.

I was lucky to meet up with Marion for a coffee at merci.
I've been reading her blog and admiring her photography for a long time, so we had lots to talk about.
She was just as lovely as I had imagined her.

Thanks again Marion, it was so nice to finally meet you in the real world!

we spent lots of time walking and riding Vélib bikes around town.

at the beginning of may we spent a couple of days in Paris.
I had not realized that it is now only a three-hour train ride away from where we live.

as you can see I brought my 35mm wide angle lens!
