the town of Óbidos feels a bit like a museum, it is perfect in every way, and quite popular with tourists.

fortunately it was very chilly towards the end of the day
and the streets were deserted
so we had it mostly to ourselves in the best light of the day.

the mountain forest of Buçaco
is very calm and very beautiful, and has great views over the surrounding landscapes.

a few hours in Porto

this is the first of many portugal posts.

we arrived in Porto on a saturday in september.
we have been there before to visit our dear friends J+M,
so this time we only stopped for lunch before heading further south.

they took us to a restaurant with an amazing view just below the bridge that crosses the douro.
if you only have a few hours in Porto, this is the perfect place to spend them.
